Leadership in the Management of Educational Organizations: a Constructive Projection of Foreign Practice

At the present stage of development, there are many leadership practices in the world that are actively used in management training programs. In the field of education in our country, such practices are at the stage of development and testing and are not widely used. In this regard, the article discloses the results of research on leadership role based on the materials of the International Successful School Directorship Project (ISSPP). We describe the main criteria that formed the basis of the project and allowed developing a model of effective school management using the potential of leadership. As a result, the developed model is presented by three levels of leadership influence: influence in general; influence on school; influence on teaching and learning. The research reveals the need to approach the formation of leadership in a comprehensive manner, considering both environmental factors and the personal qualities of the leader himself.
