Key Indicators of Sustainable Investment Development in Border Regions

In the context of geopolitical tensions and the aggravation of the situation on Russia's borders, research on the sustainable economic development of border territories is of particular importance. The Kursk and Belgorod regions, being regions of the Central Federal District and located directly in the zone of influence of military operations, face both additional challenges and new opportunities to modernize the economy and attract investment. The article presents an analysis of key indicators of investment activity in these regions in recent years. Special attention is paid to changes in the investment attractiveness of these regions under the influence of external factors. The assessment makes it possible to identify current trends and potential growth points, as well as formulate recommendations for improving the sustainability of investment development in conditions of increased uncertainty. The results of the research can be used in the practice of regional management, strategic planning and the development of measures of state support for border territories.
