Abstract

This article presents a study of foreign methodological approaches to the assessment of human capital. The approach to the assessment of human capital by the American researcher G. Becker is considered; the classification of methods for assessing human capital from the point of view of the Lithuanian politician A. Sakalas is demonstrated. The research of J. Fitz-ents, who proposed a simple model with a flexible tool for assessing human capital, is noted. In addition to the above, the paper provides a detailed comparative description of the categories of human capital assessment based on the expert in the field of knowledge management Karl-Eric Swaby. The presented methods make it possible to determine positions on individual indicators that characterize the level of human capital development. The studied set of methods for assessing human capital from the point of view of foreign experience does not fully disclose the application of modern factors affecting the formation and development of human capital. A methodological approach to grouping regions for compliance with the indicators of the conditions of spatial distribution of human capital is presented.
